Name the most expensive personal item you've ever purchased (not your home or car).
Aside from a car or house, etc, what’s the most expensive physical item you own?
This:
My jewelry is valuable, and my stock portfolio is quite valuable but I value the relationships with my husband, children, and grandchildren the most even though I do not “own” them. My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dogs are technically owned by me and I love them dearly. I would not sell them but given that they are the sixth, seventh, and eighth generations I have bred from good bloodlines are valuable. Bliss and Joy have just come back from their honeymoons with Champion Cavaliers so we should have some darling pups in two months.
I believe that earthly things are not owned by me but by God and he allows me to manage a portion during this lifetime. For that reason, I am generous and do not find it difficult to share with others. At age 65 accumulation is more about memories associated with items than any intrinsic value. Often giving an item to someone else instills a new memory for them.
