What is the biggest challenge you will face in the next six months?

What is the biggest challenge you will face in the next six months? What are some challenges you think the next generation will face in 5 years? Aside from the obvious challenges with climate change and the battle between the past generations in power wanting to keep the same destructive systems in place, I think one core problem will be difficult for everybody. The battle between the egos. A lot of global communities regardless of culture wish to understand and eliminate beliefs that lead to violence, suppression, abuse and denial, and general abuse linked to inflated egos, narcissistic traits, and overall abuse from control issues. The people who do not wish to embark on a journey of social intelligence and maturity generally are the abusers who want to keep their victims ignorant of their manipulation and cruelty. This battle. The battle between who said what and who was lying with much of it one generation who wants to heal the world and relationships and the other that wants to ke...

What would you tell your teen self? Any advice in general?

What are the top pieces of advice you'd give to your younger self? * If you take 1/3 of the time you spend playing video games, and put it into school, your life will turn out better. * Quit bitching about rules, you’ll prefer to live by them voluntarily someday. * Do not study advertising. * Do not drop out of computer engineering. * Not every person in your life will be there forever, treat each vision... Take care of yourself, because nobody else is ever going to, most likely. Love yourself. Be nice, gentle, kind, and loving toward yourself, to the degree possible. If you err, others are sure to bring it to your attention, but nobody else will necessarily take care of you if you don’t; nobody will make it their priority to take care of you in any way. You can’t even depend on your parents to take good care of you. So take care of yourself, first. It’s easier to ask forgiveness than it is to ask permission. Do what’s right at the moment as it happens, and sort it all out later. I...

What do you find boring? The ceaseless inane questions about atheism/theism.

What do you find boring? The ceaseless inane questions about atheism/theism. Ahhh!!! As the decades go by, I find myself more and more interested in things, rather than bored of things. I seem to have the capacity to take them all in now, and the stability in life to be able to look at things without fear they might derail me. But there are things I no longer do, and it’s probably fair to comment that I am bored of them, too: getting overly enthusiastic about certain car models, wanting to own them, and going out on a limb financially to make it happen. These days, I am happy to enjoy my two old American cars, and I use recent model Toyotas for no-headaches daily transport. I still enjoy looking at cars, but I don’t have to own every single one I like. looking for the right place to live in the world. I’ve lived in ten countries, and believe I’ve now arrived where I want to be. I can imagine spending more time in France or Spain, but my home is here now. pseudo-scientific revelations. ...

Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.

wearing my all white pair, they're pretty hard to keep clean) Due to their odd design this shoe is pretty much a love or hate kind of thing, I honestly disliked the shoe when I first saw it in stores but I decided to buy something different instead of the normal New Balance or Adidas shoes I usually wear. At first glance, the shoes didn't really look attractive to me and I seriously debated returning them as they were pretty expensive compared to what I usually spend on shoes (They cost £95 when I bought them). Over time I've fallen in love with the shoe's design, the design makes me feel like I'm wearing a fighter jet on my feet and I've been approached by quite a few people who wanted to know what the shoe was. As well as looking good the shoe is extremely comfortable, it has an inner neoprene sock that hugs the foot tight, and the mesh at the front allows your foot to breathe. Nike marketed this shoe using the slogan "Have you hugged your foot today?...

What is the best gift that somebody has ever received?

My Dad bought me a brand new Jeep Wrangler when I was 17, but the real gift was what he taught me about life by way of this car. Every month, on the first of the month, I was required to pay him $150 if I wanted to continue driving my Jeep. If I didn’t pay, I couldn’t drive my car (or “his car”, as he often reminded me, since he owned the title). My Dad was (and still is) a successful businessman, who makes a very decent living. To a 17-year-old working part-time in High School, $150 was more than I usually had in my bank account, and I often struggled with the prospect of handing over $150 when the time came to pay the piper. Although it was often done begrudgingly and with much complaining, I always made sure to have $150 in his hand on the first of the month, and did so for 2 years. The day I graduated High School, my Dad pulled me into his office at our house and sat me down for a little chat. “Kevin,” he said, extending his arm to give me a white, sealed envelope, “here is your gr...
