What are your biggest peeves in people?

Thank you for the A2A, Neha S. Many things bother me about people, but I wouldn’t consider them ‘pet peeves.’ They would be things like intolerance toward one’s fellow man, abusiveness toward children and animals, and not being friendly toward Mother Nature.

If I have to choose a ‘pet peeve,’ I guess I will have to say it’s people who are non-stop talkers. Maybe you live near or work with someone like that. They talk and talk and talk and you can’t get any of your thoughts into the conversation. Also, they keep you from tending to things you had on your schedule for the day. I find that very annoying. Maybe I should have learned how to handle this kind of situation better by now. After all, I’ve been around for three-quarters of a century!

Slow drivers. People who go 10–15mph UNDER the speed limit. Here's the thing, I understand, that no one wants a ticket or to be pulled over in the first place. However, by traveling under the limit you become a barrier to the normal flow of traffic.

I know they say speed kills, but someone going under the limit, especially on highways and interstates can be a bigger danger to people around them than someone going 80+.

my biggest peeve is people’s lack of common sense, especially the younger generations. I’m not saying that all older people use common sense if they did so many seniors would not fall for the scams that they do which rob them of thousands of dollars every year, but the younger generation, I don’t know if it is the lack of common sense or an “ I don’t give a damn” attitude.

Common sense says you don’t pull across the crosswalk at stop lights, drive your vehicle around a pedestrian crossing the street with the walk sign, walk your dogs but don’t pick up its business off the street or someone’s yard, use the streets and sidewalks for trash cans, blast your car radios till the glass windows shake in the houses, like everyone wants to hear what you’re listening to, which we don’t because it is usually nasty rap.

common sense says you don’t walk through a door ahead of a senior and not hold it open for them. There is a lot more I could say but I think I made my point
