WHAT WILL YOUR LIFE BE LIKE IN THREE YEARS?
To be honest I must say it is very difficult to tell because we all hope for a better life.
Futurists and pundits would each like to give you an answer to this. Early on in the 1900s the vision of the future by late 1900s was flying saucers, etc. A few predictions were true in some way, shape, or form whilst many predictions were just way off.
We don't know. We don't know if 100 years from now will we still be in the Information Age or moved on to the Space Age, or because of Climate change, we will be in the Melting Age, or perhaps an age and era in which we have not given a name to as of yet.
We cannot seem to agree on what it will be like for ourselves 10 years from now, predicting 100 years from now, seems like a difficult task, but am sure 1000s of people, institutions, and companies are looking at it this way. Even if not 100 years from now, definitely 50 years from now.
Most politicians cannot see ahead of the next election. Very few if any, are looking at how the countries will be shaping in 100 years from now. Countries do have 10-15,20 year plans, but nothing definitive to predict.
There is a lot of chatter on the Interwebs about how broken the Fractional Reserve Monetary system is. Will it continue to exist and dominate 100 years from now? Many doubt that. A new payment system might emerge and be accepted. China may be King 100 years from now, or India.
Money will change for sure. It is a sure bet that in 100 years or so, the model of money as we currently have will evolve. Habitats will change. Borders will change. More warfare? Less warfare? Can't tell. Overpopulation. Water Issues. Food Security. Education and how we teach and learn are bound to change - this is one overdue change.
The most important question is if man in itself will change, having seen what has transpired in the past. Will we learn from our mistakes? Will we learn from our past?
