Take it from a biblical perspective

Where were we before we were born? In the Bible, Jeremiah 1–5 God said, “Before I formed you in the womb I Knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”Therefore, Jeremiah had a premortal existence. He was in existence before his mortal birth. God created every one of us. He gave us our souls at the moment of our conception. edit: Rosemary Peerless Elbert didn’t believe anything I said. “Where did you find this, it is inaccurate and not biblical.”She wanted to see more scripture. Ecclesiastes 12:17, “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”In other words, when a person dies, their spirit goes back to God where it originated. Psalm 139: 13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous —-how well I know it.15 “ You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.”16 “You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.”17 “How precious are your thoughts about me? O God. They cannot be numbered!”Genesis 2:7 “… he ( God) made the body of dust live, ie, the dust did not embody a soul but it became a soul - a whole creature. So God who lives in heaven breathing divine breath into it.”

So God is in Heaven and your soul, too! I Thessalonians 5:23. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus.”Where were we before we were born? Our souls were in Heaven with God all the time which is our natural home. I believe when God sees fit for a child that will be born, we all volunteer to be that child to show our love to our Father in Heaven. He has told us just the basics of the type of life that a child/adult will have. I believe then God chooses a soul and reminds them that they will not have any memory of this while on earth. Only upon death and their particular judgment by Jesus Christ will they learn two things. They will be reminded of their life in Heaven and how they had volunteered for their human life. And second, they will know how they did and if they ended up in Heaven or Hell. At Jesus Christ‘s Second Coming, He will come in His glory and everyone, living and dead will be gathered together. He will separate the sheep from the goats. Then after that is finished, we the sheep with Jesus Christ will live on earth. Earth will be restored to the way it should have been.
