~Come up with a crazy business idea~

Are there any crazy/unique business ideas left un-started in the world?

How do I find a business idea?
Nobody is born knowing how to run a business let alone come up with business ideas.

All of us went to the same schools that our parents went to, where we were taught almost the same things. Most of us got 9–5 jobs after finishing college or university. Most of us have the same mindset:

“Go to school or college, work hard, get good grades, graduate college, and get a high-paying job in a large company so that you can retire on a pension at 60 and live the rest of your life lolling on a rocking chair…”.

For most of us, this has been our dream since childhood. Examples of people who inspired us to go to school, work hard, and get good grades to get high-paying jobs in large companies are all over the place.

Most of us do not see anything beyond this level except to work hard, get a promotion, and climb up the corporate ladder. Some of us may disagree, but this is as far as career growth goes. Of course, for the majority of us, the ultimate goal is to retire at 60 on our pension or 401 (k) and spend the rest of our days rocking on a rocking chair.

For most of us, nothing seems amiss here, except when you happen to lose your job somewhere before where you are now, and when you retire.

Except for a few…

Who are these few?

These few are people either exposed to business in their childhood and decide to break away from the norm into business or are forced to go into business by circumstances.

Influence is everything.

Who influences you?

Most people, who went into business, (including myself), did so because they were influenced by someone who was in business.

I don’t recall a time when my father told me to start a business.

And therefore, I did exactly what he told me to do, and followed the examples he gave me to study hard, start a career, and work for companies for the rest of my life.

And so, when I was only 20, I joined the corporate world for more than 25 years, until I read a book called “Rich Dad, Poor Dad.” by Robert T. Kiyosaki.

This is when the seed of entrepreneurship was planted in my mind. There’s a thin line between entrepreneurship and business, therefore we shall use these terms interchangeably.

It’s now been nearly 17 years since I quit my 9 to 5 dead-end job in the corporate world, and it’s been an adventure.

One thing I can still remember is that I had no idea what I was going to do after I left employment. I just knew that I didn’t want to answer to a boss I didn’t like. I had this faith that, somehow I was going to make it work.

Nobody is born with business ideas. Everybody has to learn it. There’s so much to learn in business.

Fortunately, you’re reading this material probably because you’re lost for choice when it comes to business ideas. During our time, not much information was available online.
