Where can you reduce clutter in your life?
Where can you reduce clutter in your life?
As it is approaching the end of 2016, I have a habit of de-cluttering for better things to come through in the new year. I am looking around my bedroom, my place of relaxation. I see so much clutter with things that I do not need to take up my creative and relaxing space. I have boxes to put my sentimental things into. I shall throw out several things that I no longer use. There is a pile of documents and papers etc that shall be thrown out as well. I shall go into my cupboards and drawers and do the same. I give our old clothes to charity shops or take them to the “Cash for Clothes” to get some cash. I take anything that can be sold into charity shops. This limits the amount of waste I throw out.
The boxes that are filled with my sentimental things shall have a home in my bedroom, high up, on my shelve. Out of sight. Creating more space for me to feel more relaxed and comfortable.
I de-clutter every three months to keep clutter to a minimum. I do it for every room in my home except for my son’s bedrooms. I ask them to do it and have a rule that if and when it is not completed within my specified time frame they shall lose their internet time.
Others have a strict rule that when they bring something new into each room of their home, something old needs to be thrown out from that particular room.
Find out what works for you and keep that as a good habit.
