 Identified your purpose Before starting any research, what are you hoping to show, and what is the business investment that's prompted you,  broadly speaking, there are major three different ways in which you can identify your goal in digital marketing ads strategy, 


*Normal report: uses basic social media metrics to show recent progress on relevant platforms. This report may be focused solely on the brand, or may also include data on primary industry competitors. 

*A single report for monitoring a campaign: a combination of metrics and qualitative analysis that can be used to measure the success of a product launch, marketing campaign, or event.

*A piece of exploratory research: this entails listening to the conversations occurring around a product category and analyzing all available data to gain insights.
