What do you wish you could do more every day?
Hi friend! I’m sorry you’re stressed to the point of feeling like you can’t live life in the way you’d like to. I can understand how that would be incredibly defeating. Some ways I can think of that are great for eliminating stress include doing things you really LOVE. I know for myself that when I’m feeling overwhelmed and stressed, getting outside is crucial for me. If I can’t get outside, I make sure to get off my phone and do something that will truly recharge me—that is often something like baking, journaling, calling my family, talking to friends/roommates, or doing a small task. It doesn’t need to be a big event; just something that will take your thoughts off of your stress for a moment and give you a better peace of mind. So, what could some of those things be for you? Also, any sort of moving my body gets me in a better headspace and I’m able to think more clearly/rationally than I was otherwise able to. Is that something you’d consider doing, trying to relocate or walk around when feeling immense stress? Additionally, my Christian faith is something that continually gives me peace and helps me release stress. God is at work in my life and I know that all things—even uncomfortable feelings like stress—are ways in which I can grow closer to him and know him all the more. He’s a good God who loves us dearly.
