What animals make the best/worst pets? 🐶🤧

I considered several options for this answer. Chimpanzees are enduringly popular but absolutely awful😞 pets. Elephants are difficult to feed and could push a house 🏠 off its foundation or flatten your car🚗 (or neighbor) when in a mood. Hippos and rhinos are similarly difficult and deadly. I’ve gone on record about how terrible big cats are as pets. And there’s dark horses out there like big jungle eagles, 🤣 🐻 bear, venomous snakes, crocodiles. All of these are horrible pets. But they’re not the worst. It’s an answer so big and obvious no sane person has even considered trying to get one.

The worst wild animal to have as a pet🐕 would be a whale.

Although there are obviously aquarium species, a whale would be impossible to keep humanely, impossible to clean up after, impossible to feed. Sperm whales in particular regularly dive 2000 feet or more (up to 10000), an act impossible to allow in captivity. They are also among the largest and most powerful of whales, known to crush whalers in their jaws, sink ships, and take prey of two tons or more. Swimming and showing affection for this intelligent pet would also be difficult because of their aquatic nature, and no vet would have the equipment to care for it.
