What is your dreams house

Image
Write about your dream home. As a dreamer, I imagine my dream house as a magical, otherworldly place that transcends the boundaries of reality. It's a place where the impossible becomes possible and where anything I can dream up can become a reality. In my dream house, the architecture is unique and stunning, with flowing curves and intricate details that defy gravity and physics. The walls are made of a shimmering, iridescent material that changes color with the light, creating a dazzling display of hues and shades. As I step inside, I'm greeted by a vast, open space that stretches out in all directions. The floors are made of a soft, velvety material that cushions my feet with every step. The ceiling is so high that it seems to disappear into the clouds, and the air is filled with a gentle, soothing breeze. The rooms in my dream house are equally enchanting, each with its distinct character and charm. There's a library with towering shelves of books that seem to go on for...

You get some great, amazingly fantastic news. What’s the first thing you do?

Image
A little bit of good news goes a long way in cutting through less encouraging headlines and lifting our spirits. Here, we round up six good things that have happened this week (from Monday 6th November), to make you smile, laugh and feel hopeful… After being stuck on a rock for the past two years, the ewe – now named Fiona – has been rescued by a band of volunteers. Fiona was stranded at the foot of cliffs in the Scottish Highlands before being rescued in what has been called an "epic mission". The rescue group, The Sheep Game, said: "She is in incredible fettle. Britain's loneliest sheep is lonely no more. "We’ve named her Fiona and she’s now safe and well and heading to a well-known Scottish farm park. The rescue was EPIC!" Fiona was first spotted by Jillian Turner in 2021 when she was kayaking between Balintore and Nigg, before seeing the ewe in the same place the following year. Now safe, Fiona has settled into a comfy life at Dalscone Farm ...

Are there any activities or hobbies you've outgrown or lost interest in over time?

Are there any activities or hobbies you've outgrown or lost interest in over time? Spend a small amount of time on what you would like to do, but make sure to do it every day. the more you do it every day, the better you'll become, even if it's only a small amount each day. You'll eventually notice you are getting better/progressing which will motivate you to dedicate more and more time each day to whatever it is you want to do. There are some things that we simply lose interest in after graduating and the reason we hang on to them is just because they are an itch in the back of our minds we didn't have time to scratch while being busy with the faculty. What's your favorite candy?

Image
What's your favorite candy? What was your favorite candy when you were a kid, and what is your favorite candy now? Peppermints…preferably strong English ones, though I’ll settle in a pinch. I also like dark chocolate in very small doses, properly made caramel, and the Ghirardelli peppermint bark based on dark chocolate, which thankfully only comes out around Christmas time, and is available in individually wrapped servings so I can control my intake of the stuff. As a child, I liked starlight mints and candy canes, dinner mints, and a soft red and white sort of puffed peppermint that you can still get occasionally. I have had a tub sitting on top of my fridge for a few years now, and I eat a couple here and there. They are good, but overpoweringly sweet.

Do you need a break? From what?

Image
Do you need a break? From what? I always decide on what to do by Crossing through what my goal is. The only power that tells or even reaches me on what I've to do is all about focusing on my goal. About the time to rest;— I never get rest after I accomplish what I had planned for the day, but if I fail to do what I had planned then I at least fulfill about 75% of it. That's when my heart feels at ease to get into bed. There are even some naps I take in between working (studying) to recharge and this is because the to-do list I have is divided into parcels so that I can get some time to take a nap and drink some water or even eat. It is this way that I get even to never listen to the words that come out of the negative people and completely ignore them. It's this way that I feel comfortable even when people see that I'm not sure/serious about what I am doing (studying). They have to judge me because most of the time I'm at the hostel I ever watch movies or sleep very...

The most important invention in your lifetime is...

About the fire About a million years ago, early humans are believed to first have controlled fire. Having discovered and made a fire, humans acquired a reliable source of warmth, light, and energy. Humans could now cook food, see in the night, and be warm when it was cold outside. Humans could now also experiment with their new power, putting different substances into the fire and mixing them under the influence of fire, thus discovering chemistry. Humans then discovered that fire created lots of energy. Warm up the water and you get steam. You could use that to move objects. Soon, the steam engine was born. From there on, the milestones continue: Electricity, Use of fossil fuels, The Automobile, Telecommunication, and The Internet. Everything humans achieved can be traced back to that one time an early human created a flame for the first time. Controlled fire is responsible for the formation of a modern human society. FIRE IS THE BEST THING HUMAN HANDS HAVE EVER CREATED.

Describe your ideal day from beginning to end.

Image
A good day for me would look like this… Being a mere mortal, and a woman of faith….a good day starts with the gift of waking up, and realizing what a beautiful blessing that is. It’s a good day. I’ve got a husband who loves me, despite all my many flaws, and abundant metaphorical warts. My cats and dogs are thrilled with the prospect of another day. And with that, another breakfast. Their day is off to a good start, and so is mine. It’s a good day. I feed the menagerie of 12 four-legged furry friends. I open the back door to let the dogs out, and to fill the bird feeder. Seems we have a family of tree swallows nesting in the birdhouse. What a blessing to watch them build their nest. It’s a good day. Let connect

Time management significant and perspectives

Image
Pretty old guy (86) here. Something I have noticed about my perception of time is how fast it seems to go nowadays, and how it has been speeding up for years. I graduated from eighth grade in 1948. At that time not everyone went to high school, at least not every farm boy in South Dakota. At that time also, four years was roughly one-third of my lifetime to that point. So, after having spent almost two-thirds of my lifetime in school, the thought of almost another third of a lifetime doing something I pretty much hated was overwhelming. I begged my parents to allow me not to go, but they insisted, Nowadays, four years is a much smaller percentage of my lifetime, and as a result, I think, four years seems to go much faster. So, although, in reality, clocks have moved at the same speed over my lifetime, my perception of that reality (that clock speed) has changed. And I think that perception relates to what percentage of a lifetime a particular amount of time is. For me, years back, week...

What’s your favorite thing to cook?

Image
What’s your favorite thing to cook? What are some of your favorite things to cook? I LOVE making soups and stews. Any meal that is served in a bowl with a big ‘ol hunk of bread. My ‘recipe’ for soup, has never been written down, because it’s different every time dependent on what I have in the fridge/freezer. Start with a hot pot, add butter, and whatever meat you’re using. I don’t do meatless soup….ewww. Brown the meat all around to get the yumminess out of it. Add your diced veggies. Mine are usually onion, garlic, carrot, cabbage, and turnip. However, soup is forgiving, you can add whatever you like best. Stir. Coat the veggies in the meat-infused butter. Add I’m pretty famous for my pork roast among friends and family, but cheese fondue, salmon, and raclette are also favourites people tend to remember. The roast and the salmon are pretty much the easiest things to make though. Big casserole, salt, and pepper, in it, go for an hour or two, and done. With the pork roast, I tend to se...

Write about your first computer.

Image
Computers are amazing machines that can perform many tasks and store a lot of information. They have become an essential part of our lives, especially in the modern world. But do you remember your first computer? I do. My first computer was a Microsoft Surface Pro 7, which I got in 2020. It was a sleek and powerful device that could function as both a laptop and a tablet. It had a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a detachable keyboard, a stylus pen, and a kickstand. It ran on Windows 10, the latest operating system from Microsoft at the time. I was very excited to use my first computer. I used it for many purposes, such as browsing the web, watching videos, playing games, writing documents, drawing sketches, and more. I also learned how to code on my first computer, using various programming languages and tools. Coding was my favorite activity, as it allowed me to create my applications and websites. My first computer was also my first friend. It was always there for me, whenever I needed it. It...

What’s the thing you’re most scared to do? What would it take to get you to do it?

Image
What’s the thing you’re most scared to do? What would it take to get you to do it? For me at this moment in my life, what I fear the most is not disease or the loss of a loved one. I fear not becoming the person that I think I’m supposed to be and the person I want to be. At times, they are the same and at other times they don’t coincide. The fluid nature of the differences between being, becoming, and expecting to be creates a form of anxiety rooted in fear. This fear can include not being the husband, father, leader, professional, son, community leader, or person who consistently stands up against injustice. A person that I believe I am, want to be, others expect me to be, or am supposed to be. In the end, I understand that we just need to be. Here today and in the moment, regardless this is the fear that creeps up unexpectedly from time to time. Let connect

do you complain about the most?

Image
do you complain about the most? Because they're unhappy, need to help themself. They're not happy with their lives, and that's why they're least likely to help. The complaint, acting ate 2 different things. The other is they're not confident to take action on anything. They think running away and hitching bitching is going to change, but it's not. You have to make the effort, and care about others, and yourself to do something about a problem. Like with me. I look for help or I will help. Nothing is going to go away if you brush it off, ignore it. That's how problems escalate by just ignoring it, and walking away from it. That makes it worse bc it's running free, adding more fuel and problems to the situation. They're selfish bc they have problems. Maybe someone burned them in the past and didn't care for them. That's why they're spiteful and resentful looking, pessimistic about people, and life. People that are happy emotionally, in the ...

What are your favorite sports to watch and play?

Image
If you are talking sport and not recreation and in particular team sports then for me there is no comparison in playing or in watching; it is Australian Football. Australian Football is a free-flowing spectacular game that has little restriction, and maximum fun with a very spectacular presentation. No wonder it is the most popular game in the world on on per head of population basis. Other sports only have a part of what Australian Football has because in Australian Football you can soccer the ball as in soccer, run with the ball as in rugby, bounce the ball as in basketball, tackle as in rugby, block as in American Football, handpass as in Gaelic Football, catch the ball as in American Football and kick the ball like only Australian Footballers can. The scoring is optimal in Australian Football - one goal about every three minutes and possession is open to competition at all times and not reciprocated as in most other team sports after scoring.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Image
Go to work as usual, take the ticket with me UNSIGNED Use the work photocopier to photocopy the ticket my driver’s license and other IDs and my actual face if possible to prove it’s mine if there is ever any question. Place items in various positions so I have multiple varieties so nobody can say, “Oh, that’s Photoshopped”. Go to the bank, and get a safe deposit box. Put the UNSIGNED ticket and copies of the photocopies in there. Spend the remainder of the day researching lawyers and financial advisors in my area. Make appointments for that week. Appointment day: Call in sick to work. Meet with the legal and financial team. Set up a blind trust. Establish various financial accounts to receive distributions. If all of this is in place within one day, have a lawyer(s) and financial peep(s) accompany me to the regional lottery office (I have the address already) where the ticket is then signed and claimed (however that’s done through a trust). Find out the date of the expected distributio...

Write about a few of your favorite family traditions.

Image
Write about a few of your favorite family traditions. I make my sons their turtle cakes annually, as my mom did for me What is your favorite family tradition? What unique holiday traditions does your family have that others most likely don't? What are your family rituals? When my son was born on Dec. 5, I was afraid his birthday would get lost in the shuffle of Christmas, so when he was about 5, we started putting a small “birthday” tree in his room. We’d decorate it with McDonald’s toys, old birthday cards, and his favorite Christmas ornaments from our big tree. His birthday presents would be under the tree when he woke up. Every year I’d make a topper for the tree with the number we were celebrating. The last one I did was 21, and then I told him if he wanted the tree, he’d need to put it up himself. He took the ornaments with him for his and his wife’s trees. I r <tear in my eye> As they’re dead or spread we have few to no traditions. We celebrate my wife’s birthday by wa...

What do you do during your leisure time and do you find it enjoyable?

Image
Why do some people prefer to be alone most of the time? I prefer to be alone. I typically don’t connect with people, and I don’t want to. I don’t dislike people, or feel like they are not good enough to be my friend, nor am I concerned that I am not good enough to be theirs. I just really enjoy being alone. When I was in college. I had people with whom I used talk to, but I find that after several minutes of conversation, I have “had my fill” socially, and excuse myself. I never feel isolated or lonely, but after a brief conversation, I feel content and want to go elsewhere and be by myself. I spend time with some extremely close personal friends. Aside from them, I feel no desire for companionship. I have always been like this. I am not unhappy, I do not feel excluded, lonesome, or depressed about it. On the contrary, when people push me for social interaction, I feel aggravated, uncomfortable, and pining for my solitude. When I go out with other people, I feel bored and sluggish, cou...

It consists of two separate land areas: an inland part, which is coincident with the Kejimkujik National Historic Site of Canada, and the Kejimujik National Park Seaside on the Atlantic coast. Canoe routes in the park have been used for thousands of years by natives to travel from the Bay of Fundy to the Atlantic shore. There are four Mi'kmaw (First Nations people of Nova Scotia) petroglyph sites in the park. The Royal Astonomical Society of Canada has designated the park a”dark sky preserve”.

If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?

Image
If you had the opportunity to say one thing to you that could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be? your pet and they would completely understand you, what would you say? Thanks for being the best friend ever in one of the worst times of my life. I was quiet when the ambulance came to pick up my dad who got me for you. Thanks for just sitting quietly while people came to pay their respects, and THANKS for just plopping your muzzle on my shoulder while I cried my eyes out those first days. I would tell him that I love him. However, I think my cat understood that without knowing English. He knew I loved him and I knew he loved me. I would love to be able to arrange some way that he could signal me when he was sick or in pain. It is not always easy to tell. I might ask him to forgive me for not always understanding what he is trying to tell me. That’s an opportunity I have every day with my dog Mimi as well as every dog and cat I’ve had throughout life. Because they do com...

If could un-invent something, what would it be?

Image
That’s an interesting question. Many inventions have both positive and negative impacts on the world, so it’s hard to choose one. But if I had to, I might un-invent **nuclear weapons**. They have caused a lot of destruction, fear, and suffering in the past, and they pose a serious threat to the future of humanity and the planet. I think the world would be a safer and more peaceful place without them. 🕊️ What about you? What would you un-invent and why? I’m curious to hear your thoughts. 😊
